Club Neon Blog: 2002-6-13

Slow days.

I've been upgrading the software on my work computer. I'm going to be building 2 routers soon and I want to make sure I have all the latest tools to do it with. It also puts me in a sort of zen state to have a totally fresh computer. With Windows having a fresh install means blowing it all away, and reinstalling from scratch. With Linux I can actually go through and look at each program, each file on the machine and make sure they are all later than the date I started the clean up on. So that is what I'm doing. I got the latest release of the GNU Compiler Collection, and I'm recompiling all the code on the machine with it.

I think Google is about the best search engine out there. I went to see what seaching for "club neon" would get me. My site pretty high on the list, only one silly car club above me, there is a domain squatter, and that bothers me, and the number one match is an actual physical club called Club Neon. What is really strange is the site after mine, it is Japanese, and er um, adult. I wonder if they would like to buy a domain name. I've always said I wouldn't part with my domains, but maybe I could let clubneon.net go in trade for a brand new Spirit-R RX-7 (imported to the US of course, I'd put up with the right hand drive).
