I subscribe to Netflix, a website that lets one rent DVDs off of the Internet. It is a kinda neat approach. You pay a flat rate per month. Depending on what you pay, you can have x number of movies out. You just build a list of movies you want. When you return a movie you get the next one. There are no late fees, you can keep a movie as long as you want or return it the day that you watch it. The return postage is prepaid, you just drop the DVD back in the mail. The quicker you return a movie the more you'll get to see in a month for your money. I like the service a lot. One thing they do is have you rate the DVDs. You are sent an e-mail when they get a movie back asking you to rate it. You can also just sit down and rate any movie they have listed that you have seen. These ratings help them recomend other movies for you to watch. So far I have found quite a few interesting movies that I would have never encounted without that service. The reason I brought this up, today I rated my 500th movie. I probally still have seen more than that, but that is of the ones listed on their site that I can remember. |
